2 Days whitewater rafting Jinja, Jinja is a town in Uganda situated at the source of the Nile River, the longest river in the world, and is known as the “adventure capital” of Uganda due to its many outdoor activities. Jinja town is home to several tourist attractions such as the Bujagali Falls, the source of the Nile, and the Itanda Falls, which are popular spots for white water rafting, kayaking, and bungee jumping. The town also has a rich cultural heritage with several historical and cultural sites such as the Jinja Railway Bridge, the Jinja Sailing Club, and the Jinja Hindu Temple.
White water rafting on the other hand is an adventurous water sport that involves navigating a river in an inflatable raft, while dealing with the turbulent and fast-moving water rapids. It is often done as a group activity, with a professional guide leading the way and providing instructions on how to paddle and manoeuvre through the rapids. The rapids are classified based on their level of difficulty, with Class I being the easiest and Class V being the most challenging. Detailed itinerary
DAY 1; Arrival and transfer to Jinja.
After early morning breakfast, you will be met by our guide who will brief you about the highlights of trip. You will then embark on your journey to Jinja with the first stop over at Mabira forest for zip lining at Griffin falls. Zip lining is an outdoor adventure activity that involves gliding through the air on a cable suspended between two points. The participant is harnessed to the cable and slides along it, propelled by gravity. It is a thrilling and adventurous activity which gives stunning views of the surrounding areas.
After zip lining, you will then proceed to Jinja for white water rafting with a stopover at the Jinja Nile Bridge for photography and a lunch break. Then proceed to Jinja for the thrilling and adventurous activity on the Nile.
You will then Proceed to Jinja town and night over stay. Optionally, you can also engage in the Jinja night life for entertainment.
DAY 2: Tubing on the Nile, Bungee Jumping and transfer back to Kampala.
Have early morning breakfast and set out to Jinja town for a short city walk of the city centre. Then proceed for Bungee Jumping to lift up your adrenaline levels as you experience beautiful sceneries.
Then get to do tubing on the Nile for a relaxing and memorable experience. After tubing, you proceed to Jinja town, have lunch and embark on your journey back to Kampala, hotel/airport.
